Excursions to Innsbruck & surroundings
From the Sattlerhof, you have a wonderful view of the nearby, lively and charming capital and university city of Innsbruck.
The Stubai Valley Railway takes you from our front door directly to the vibrant city centre, where you’ll find the many shops and bars of Innsbruck’s main shopping street, Maria-Theresien-Strasse, and the many attractions of the charming historic Old Town.
The best ways to discover the unique Golden Roof, the city tower, the Museum of Tyrolean Regional Heritage with the Court Church, also called “Schwarzmanderkirche” (literally “Black Men Church”), the Bergisel Ski Jump with viewing terrace, the Tirol Panorama Museum, the beautiful cathedral, and the Imperial Palace is on foot on your own, with a city guide or on a sightseeing bus.
The charming Alpine Zoo is Europe’s highest zoo, housing 2,000 animals from 150 different species from the Alpine animal kingdom.
We also recommend taking a trip to the glittering crystal worlds of Swarovski in Wattens, the salt and coin minting town of Hall, the Silver Mine in Schwaz or take a detour to the nearby South Tyrol.
